Sophie is a licensed clinical social worker with 20+ years of experience working with individuals and families; with a strong focus on children ages 8 & up, adolescents, and young adults. She has a Bachelor of Art from Grand Valley State University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Sophie has extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help children develop coping skills, manage the effects of trauma, and support healing. She is known for her work in helping children and families deal with anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, behavioral modification, anger, emotional dysregulation, and mood disorders. Sophie supports children and parents in dealing with school-related issues by promoting skills to improve academics, behavior, and advocacy. Sophie is bilingual in Spanish and English.
